The signing happens in your browser. The PDF and your signature are never uploaded, which matters for contracts, rental forms and ID paperwork. Draw with a finger, mouse or stylus, type your name in one of five styles, or upload a photo of a handwritten signature and let the tool remove the light background so only the ink is placed. Drag the signature to move it, use the handles to resize it, and repeat initials on every page with one button.
The signature vault saves your signatures and initials so you do not have to redraw them each time. They are stored only in this browser on this device and are not uploaded, so clearing site data or switching browsers means starting again. Download a PNG of any signature you could not recreate.
Two guides help if you are on a phone or do not use Adobe: one covers signing a PDF on iPhone and Android, the other adding a signature without Adobe. Be clear about what this is. DocPro places a visible electronic signature on the page. It is not a certificate-based digital signature, so check that the person or office you are sending it to accepts a drawn or typed e-signature.
Look at every page before you press Sign and download, because the placements are written into the new file. If the document is confidential, you can also lock it with a password before you send it; Protect PDF is in the Privacy and security hub and is free.
A few practical tips. Pick the typed style closest to your own hand, or upload a photo of a signature on white paper in good light. Save initials separately and copy them to all pages for agreements that need them on every sheet. If the signed file is then too large to email, run it through Compress PDF. Keep the original unsigned file too, since the signature is written into the new copy.
