DocPro is a set of free PDF, image and passport-photo tools that run in your browser. It is built and run by Javid Abid (handle javidabid), an independent developer based in Melbourne, Australia. You can see his other work at lawang.me. DocPro is a one-person project: there is no company team or outside investor behind it.
Why I built it
Most free PDF sites ask you to upload your documents to their servers before they will merge, compress or convert them. Passports, IDs, contracts and payslips should not have to leave your device just to be combined or made smaller. So DocPro runs every tool in your browser, or on your phone, and your files stay with you.
How the tools work
When you open a tool on the web app, the code that merges, compresses, converts or edits your file is downloaded to your browser and runs there. Your files are not uploaded to a DocPro server for processing. Nothing about the contents of a document is sent anywhere. The privacy policy lists the few optional features that do use our servers, such as accounts and sending a document for signature.
The Android app is coming soon. It is not released yet.
How it is funded
- Every tool is free to use, with no account needed. The only exceptions are Sign PDF and the Signature vault, which are part of DocPro Pro.
- DocPro Pro costs A$5.99 per month after a 7-day free trial. On the web it is billed through Stripe, and you can cancel at any time.
- If DocPro saved you time, you can optionally buy me a coffee.
- There are no ads, no third-party trackers, and we never sell your data.
Editorial policy
The guides and blog are researched and drafted with AI writing tools, then checked against the sources they cite before they are published. Each guide ends with a Sources section that links to official or primary pages, together with a “Sources checked on” date.
Comparison articles take a competitor’s figures, such as prices and limits, from that competitor’s own pages as of the date stated in the article. Those figures can change, so check the competitor’s site before you decide.
If you find a mistake or an out-of-date detail, please email hello@docpro.pro. Corrections are welcome and are made as soon as they are checked.
