About this tool

Put every page of a PDF onto a standard or custom paper size, for example to print US Letter files on A4. Each page is scaled to fit, keeps its proportions and is centred, with an optional margin. Everything happens in your browser, so the file is not uploaded.

How to resize PDF pages to A4, Letter or a custom size, free

  1. Choose a PDF.
  2. Pick a page size (A4, Letter, Legal, A3, A5 or custom), the orientation and a margin.
  3. Press Resize PDF and download the new file.

Frequently asked questions

Does resizing make the text blurry?

No. Pages are placed on the new size as vector content, so text and drawings stay sharp. Scanned pages are still images, so they keep the resolution they had.

Are links and form fields kept?

No. Resized pages are static copies, so clickable links and fillable form fields on them stop working. Fill in forms first with Fill PDF form, then resize.

Does it crop anything?

No. The whole page is scaled to fit inside the new size, so a page with a different shape gets empty space on two sides instead of being cut off.
