About this tool

Stamp words like DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL or your name on the pages of a PDF, or place your logo or another image on them. Choose Text or Logo or image at the top, set the look and preview the placement before saving. It runs in your browser and neither the file nor the logo is uploaded.

Text can be centred or tiled across the page, with a size from 12 to 200 pt, an angle from -90 to 90 degrees, an opacity from 5 to 100 percent and any colour. A logo can sit in one of nine positions or be tiled, with its size set as a share of the page width. Both modes can mark every page or a range such as 1-3, 5.

Tips and limits

Frequently asked questions

Can I watermark only some pages?

Yes. Type pages such as 1-3, 5 in the Pages box, or leave it blank to mark every page.

Can I add both a text and a logo watermark?

Yes. Save the file with one, then open the result and add the other. Each run adds its mark to the file made by the run before.

Can the watermark be removed afterwards?

It is added to the page content of the new file, so it is not meant to be removed. Keep your original if you need a clean copy.

Is the document or logo uploaded?

No. The PDF and the logo are both handled in your browser.

Which image formats can I use for a logo?

Common image files such as PNG and JPG work. A PNG with a transparent background suits logos best.

Can I use a language other than English?

Yes. Latin text uses a built-in PDF font, and other scripts such as Arabic or Devanagari are drawn as an image so they display correctly.
